May 23rd is National Medical Coders Day!
What Is a Medical Coder? Medical coders update patient records with standardized information needed for data management and billing purposes. Every time a doctor, nurse, or other healthcare provider performs a service, a code needs to be assigned to each diagnosis and procedure. The specific codes assigned determine how the medical office bills the insurance company for the patient’s visit.
It is National Medical Transcriptionist Week, a week-long celebration of the contributions healthcare documentation specialists make toward ensuring complete and accurate patient health records.
Today is the start of EMS Week. Thank to our Emmons County ALS Ambulance crew and to all first responders for going above and beyond everyday!

Many honorees on the list offer substantial wellness and personal benefits to ensure employees strike a positive work/life balance.”
