Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant position entails managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and the preparation of tax documents. The staff accountant will collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and maintain accurate financial data. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and oversight of treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, and insurance functions.

• Partner with the CFO and CEO to drive financial sustainability and long-term planning.

• Optimize revenue cycle processes, reimbursement strategies (including Medicare/Medicaid and private payers), and financial reporting.

• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to enhance financial performance and efficiency.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and healthcare technology advancements to position the hospital for future success.

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.

• Financial experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Experience with Epic and Multiview software is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
