Chief Medical Officer

A native of Martin, SD, Dr. Knecht has 30 years of private practice experience with the Veterans Administration. His experience also includes previous affiliation with Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin. Dr. Knecht has worked in emergency room, clinic, hospital, and nursing home settings.

Linton Regional Medical Center does not have a physician on the premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When a physician is not present, patients with healthcare emergencies will be assessed and treated by qualified medical personnel, with physician support available via phone and/or will be transferred to another hospital when necessary.

(i) No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay, and (ii) There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income
